Sarah & Nathan: Wedding Gallery

You might remember Sarah & Nathan from our sunny Los Angeles engagement session. The couple came back to the Chicago area for their wedding at Indian Hill Club in Winnetka, Ill. The weekend was nice change of pace, with a reception/rehearsal dinner the night before and daytime wedding on Saturday. I love working with smaller groups and in more intimate settings. Here’s a few of my favorites from the wedding day.

Jenny & Nate: Wedding Gallery

Jenny & Nate invited me to Ohio for my first Buckeye State wedding. The couple was married at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Canton. After the ceremony, Nate’s grandfather drove us in his 1950s Studebaker to the reception, with a quick stop in downtown Massillon for a few portraits. Jenny’s dance with her father was one of the most touching moments I’ve seen!

Katie & Ron: Engagement Session

Katie & Ron kicked off our engagement shoot at Chicago’s popular Millennium Park for a few pictures in front of the Cloud Gate (“the bean”) sculpture. From there we wandered toward the lake shore through Lurie Garden. We stopped at the Field Museum and then made our way out to Adler Planetarium for some dramatic skyline views. We headed back into the city for a few pictures on an L platform and finished up in front of the iconic Chicago …

Sima & Samir: Engagement Session

Sima & Samir got dressed up for a night on the town for their Chicago engagement session. We started off at North Ave. Beach, which is still my favorite place to view the skyline from. After that we headed to Millennium Park, the Chicago Cultural Center, the Lasalle St. Bridge and the Chicago Board of Trade. We ended the night with a stop at one of the loop’s oldest El stops. Hannah & Andrew: Engagement Session

I spent an afternoon exploring the Twin Cities with Hannah and Andrew a few weeks ago. They were great tour guides and ambassadors for their cities. (He’s from St. Paul and she’s from Minneapolis.) They moved to North Carolina for grad school. (She went to UNC and he went to Duke.) Somebody actually stopped us as we were walking to ask “how’s that work?” pointing to their conflicting t-shirts.
