Christine & Ryan were married at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood with a reception at Roosevelt University’s Auditorium Ballroom. The reception venue has had two weddings this year and somehow I had them both.
Christine and her girls (and myself) started the morning at The Wit Hotel downtown for hair and makeup. My good friend Justin Edmonds was in town again from Denver to help with the coverage. He followed Ryan and the guys while they got ready and headed to a nearby bar before the first look.
Ryan and Christine were so excited to see each other, but I think I was even more excited that we got a break from the rain to get outdoor portraits! We stopped at Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum for wedding party photos and portraits of Christine & Ryan. We must have timed it perfectly because it started raining again as soon as we got to the church!
After the ceremony (in which Christine & Ryan tied a literal knot, no joke!), we headed back downtown to the Auditorium Ballroom at Roosevelt University for the wedding reception. The room was beautifully decorated and provided a great setting for the first dances and toasts. After dinner, a line dance instructor kicked off the party. Justin and I had a great time documenting the entire day.
