Christina & Brad had their Bridgeport Art Center Wedding in the venue’s new Sculpture Garden space. I’ve been fortunate to shoot at Bridgeport’s Skyline Loft several times now, but I hadn’t shot at their outdoor space until now.
I started the morning with Christina and her ladies while they got ready at Westin River North. Justin and Brad met us outside on the patio for a first look. From there we spent some time walking along the riverfront and found several great portrait locations.
We also made a stop at Mary Bartelme Park in the West Loop for a few more portraits before the sun started to go down.
The Sculpture Garden is a beautiful ceremony venue and the gas heating lamps kept everyone cozy. Christina & Brad shared sips from a glass of wine, which was an interesting idea that I hadn’t seen before.
Following the ceremony, everyone headed inside for cocktail hour and the reception. Christina’s mother opened the toasts with some really funny storytelling and her sister brought along Christina’s childhood Cabbage Patch doll. I think my favorite moment of the night came as Brad compared their appearance.
After Christina & Brad warmed up the dance floor, Toast & Jam kicked off a great dance party. Brad’s nephew brought the room down with his “nae nae.” It was awesome working with Christina & Brad at one of my favorite venues. Thanks again for letting us document your day!
