Brenna and Reuben started their North Avenue Beach Engagement Photos at Old Town Social. Both Brenna and Reuben grew up in the neighborhood, so it was a perfect place to get a drink and catch up for a bit before we started shooting. Old Town Social had a great little spot with exposed brick, a fireplace and some nice window light.

We took a quick trip over to Lincoln Park and Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool, where we met my assistant, Amanda Schwengel. After a loop around the pond we skipped across Fullerton Avenue to the natural area around Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum where we found some great golden light.

From there, we headed down to North Avenue Beach for my favorite Chicago skyline view. We had perfect clear weather and surprisingly it even got a little chilly out on the pier as the sun started to set. It was a great afternoon hanging out with these two. Already looking forward to your winter wedding!
