I met up with Haley and Sarah downtown at Cindy’s Rooftop for a drink before starting their engagement session. I’d been waiting to get to Maggie Daley Park and with the fall leaves changing, this was the perfect time. We started with a walk through park and found lots of great fall color. These two were all laughs and it made capturing real moments so much fun.

After an outfit change (and maybe one more drink) we headed out to the ever-popular museum campus and Adler Planetarium. We arrived just as the sun started to go down. It was a beautiful night and we were able to catch a beautiful purple glow as the lights on the buildings started to come on. A perfect way to finish off the evening. Special thanks to my assistant Laura for helping with the lighting and lugging around all our stuff!

Carolyn and Josh’s wedding was at one of Chicago’s newest venues – Chicago Winery. I started the morning at Carolyn and Josh’s beautiful Jackson Park home on Chicago’s South Side where the ladies were getting ready. It was a mostly uneventful morning until a power outage hit the neighborhood. Thankfully Josh’s Dewalt tool collection allowed the hair & makeup team to continue doing their thing and even Kristy of Lola Events steamed the dress! Justin started just down the street with Josh at one of his groomsman’s home in the same neighborhood.
