After getting rained out the day previously, I met Jody and Nikola on the Loyola University Chicago campus to start their engagement session. I’m so glad we decided to call off the shoot the day before. Partially because we ended up just hanging out and chatting over beers, but especially because we got a great Chicago twilight sky as we finished up their session downtown. But more about that later.
We started with a walk through campus and found a few courtyard and archway backgrounds that worked well. And some nice green ivy, I always love a good Tour of the Ivy.
After an outfit change we headed downtown to the Riverwalk and LaSalle Street Bridge. We made it to Millennium Park just in time for the “blue hour” twilight which also faded into a lovely purple. I thought we were finished after an epic photo in front of the Cloudgate statue. But we found one more photo down Washington Street on our way of the park with a little peak of the setting sun.
It was so great spending time with these two, and I’m pumped to see them again for their wedding later this month!
