Laura and Jon were married at Cross in the Woods in Indian River, Michigan. There’s nothing better than Northern Michigan’s fall color season, so I was thrilled to be able to make pictures “Up North.”
I started the morning with Laura and the ladies getting ready at a home in downtown Petoskey. Hotel rooms are great, but having a whole rental house is a good way to go if you don’t want to spend the whole morning in a crowded suite. My friend, Heather Kanillopoolos, made the trip as well to help me out. She spent the morning with Jon and the guys at Bay Harbor Inn.
After the ceremony at Cross in the Woods in Indian River we headed west to Petoskey Farms Vineyard & Winery for portraits with the wedding party. The views were pretty incredible – where else can you shoot down a vineyard with fall color in the background?!
From there we headed back to downtown Petoskey and Bay Harbor Inn. We had a chance to make a few more photos on the shore overlooking the Bay before the sun set. After dinner we heard from parents and friends in some beautiful toasts. I especially enjoyed the musical from Matt Gabriel. The night finished with parent dances and finally a dance between Laura & Jon.
Thanks again Laura and Jon for letting us document your day!
