Megan and Alex were married at St. Scholastica Parish in Woodridge, Illinois.
I started the morning with Megan and the ladies getting ready at the Chicago Marriott Naperville. With large windows and big rooms we had lots of room for both Alex and Megan for the morning preparations.
December weddings are always a bit dicey with the weather. The temperatures weren’t too cold but we did have to deal with a little drizzle for our outdoor portions. Thankfully, the skies started to clear just in time for our first look. I scouted some nice coniferous trees for a background in the morning and it was an easy walk from the hotel’s entrance.
From there we headed to Woodridge for the ceremony and finally to Morton Arboretum for portraits. Morton Arboretum was the original reception location so it was nice we were able to take advantage of their outdoor spaces for our portrait time. We finished just as we were running out of light.
