Amy and Eric were married at the the Museum of Science and Industry on Chicago’s south side. They both have backgrounds in STEM so the venue choice was perfect!
I started with Amy and the bridesmaids at her suite in Loews Hotel Downtown for hair & makeup. It was a very chill morning with the small wedding party. Allison started with Eric and we met up at Olive Park nearby for First Look. We were joined by the couple’s pup – Typhoon (who you might remember from their engagement session) for a few family portraits. We finished up our all of our wedding party photos and had time for some epic skyline portraits as well.
From there it was off to the Museum for the ceremony and reception. The ceremony location in the back is beautiful – overlooking the pond and with the museum architecture behind us. Carla of Forever Incredible Ceremonies did a fantastic job, as always, officiating the ceremony!
The reception was inside the Museum’s great hall. Even though the guest count wasn’t huge – the space made the event feel incredibly grand. It was surreal to watch the couple’s choreographed first dance with multiple planes in the background! After dinner and toasts we finished the evening with a portrait in front of the Tornado Vortex exhibit.
It was so great working with you Amy and Eric (and Typhoon!). Thank you so much for having us!
