Cindy and JP were married at Fairlie – a new industrial loft venue in Chicago’s Kinzie Industrial Corridor. I love these kinds of exposed brick spaces and Fairlie is one of the best.
The morning started in the West Loop at The Hoxton hotel with Cindy and her bridesmaids getting ready in “the apartment” on the second floor. Justin started with JP and Chris upstairs. If you’re looking for a hotel to get ready on a wedding day in the West Loop, I can highly recommend it!
After Cindy was in her dress we headed across the street for first look. JPs reaction was one of the best of the year – that’s what it’s all about! From there we jumped in a limo for a portrait tour.
The first stop was at a West Loop classic – Green Street Smoked Meats – always a great spot. From there we made our way down to LaSalle Street and the Board of Trade Building. I love the light in that area, especially in the fall. We made one more stop at LaSalle Street Bridge on our way back to the venue.
Once we got back to Fairlie it was time for family photos and a the arrival of Keats, the couple’s dog. Keats was so excited to be part of the day! Chris did a fantastic job officiating the ceremony and I loved the way Cindy and JP danced all the way back down the aisle.
After the ceremony, we headed out for a ride on the Tuk Tuk and a few more portraits. We used the last bit of remaining light to during our portraits then headed back inside. The reception started with some really nice toasts from the parents and wedding party. After dinner it was time for dancing. Fairlie offers a huge dance floor and an awesome second floor which made for an epic overhead angle all day. Rachel of Toast and Jam kept the party going!
Thanks to Melissa and Emilee of A Perfect Pair for all your help during the day and Alexis at the Fairlie. Everything went super smoothly thanks to your expertise!
And thank you to Cindy and JP for being so great to work with – we had such an amazing time working with you and your families. Hope to see down the road again!
