Deirdre and Phil were married at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood with a reception at Cafe Brauer.
I started with Deirdre and the rest of the bridesmaids at Claridge House hotel. The ladies had a lot of fun listening to Taylor Swift while getting ready and it was a really great morning all around. Justin started with Phil and the guys at the same hotel as well.
The ceremony was officiated by Deirdre’s friend Brendan at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Chicago has some beautiful grand church’s and St. Joseph is certainly on that list.
After the ceremony, we traveled with the wedding party to North Ave. Beach for some portraits. With the cold temperatures we didn’t spend too long outside, but Deirdre and Phil were troopers and it was totally worth it. From there, we made our way to the Cafe Brauer in Lincoln Park. But before going inside we headed to the iconic honeycomb structure and boardwalk area for a few more portraits.
The reception was inside Cafe Brauer’s great hall which is one of the most historic venues in the city. Deirdre and Phil had a wonderfully choreographed first dance and the view from the second story made for a great scene. Okyne Media Group kept the dance party going well into the night.
Finally, we made one last portrait outside as the rain started to come down in front of the iconic Cafe Brauer neon light. Special thanks to Amy with Happily Ever After for all her planning and production help!
It was so great working with you Deirdre and Phil – we loved spending the day with you and your friends & family!
