Bailey & Travis celebrated their wedding at Artifact Events – a modern brick and glass loft space in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood.
I started the morning with Bailey at Royal Sonesta River North where she was getting ready with her side of the wedding party. Justin started with Travis at the couple’s home.
Our first look location was just around the corner from the hotel in one of my favorite “secret” spots behind the Wrigley Building on the riverwalk level. It’s a really quiet spot that’s just a few hundred feet from some of the best portrait locations.
Just after first look, it started to rain so we had to adapt our timing. Thankfully we had a rain plan and plenty of umbrellas. Of course we still made a few photos in front of the Wrigley Building and the iconic river view. By the time we arrived at North Ave. Beach, the skies had cleared and the sun was out.
From there we headed up to Artifact Events for family group photos and the rest of the day. Bailey’s dad officiated and did a beautiful job.
After the ceremony, we made a few portraits in the space during cocktail hour. The reception kicked off with an entrance down the staircase and some great toasts. Then we moved from the dining area back to atrium for dancing. Bailey and her dad had a choreographed dance that everyone loved!
The dance floor was packed all night thanks to Fig Leave Media. It was so great to be able to work with Bailey & Travis and all of your families. Thanks for trusting us to document your day. Go Green!
