Liz and Bill were married at Sarabande, a new Chicago loft style venue from the group that runs Ovation and Greenhouse Loft.
I started with Liz at the Ambassador Hotel downtown while Justin was with Bill at the couple’s home in Lincoln Park.
Dana & Seth met me at one of our favorite neighborhood spots – Hopleaf Bar. I’m on a bit of alcohol hiatus, but if you’re into beer Hopleaf is the spot! We chatted about their upcoming wedding for a bit and shot a few photos in the space before we headed out.
Our second location was Lincoln Park, which is good anytime of the year, but very special in the fall as the leaves start to change. We found some good color and some great light.
Dara and Seth were married at one of Chicago’s newest loft-style wedding venues – Sarabande. I started the morning with Dara and her bridesmaids downtown at Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile and Justin started with Seth and the groomsmen at the same hotel.
I met up with Liz and Bill at one of their local spots, Frank’s Bar, in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. We chatted over beers and made a few photos there before walking to the Park. Our walking tour continued East through the park and out to the Lakeshore and Fullerton Beach.
It was a bit windy, but I loved the photo we made of the two of them running – it was good practice for Bill who was running the Chicago Marathon this year!
I met up with TerriAnn and Jason at one of their favorite Old Town pubs – The House of Glunz – with a lot of meaning for the two of them. In addition to catching up over drinks we also shot a handful of photos there.
Deirdre and Phil were married at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood with a reception at Cafe Brauer.
I started with Deirdre and the rest of the bridesmaids at Claridge House hotel. The ladies had a lot of fun listening to Taylor Swift while getting ready and it was a really great morning all around. Justin started with Phil and the guys at the same hotel as well…
Kendyll and Chris were married at one of Chicago’s best loft wedding venues: Artifact Events in the city’s Ravenswood neighborhood. I’m a bit partial to the venue because it’s just a few blocks from my home and I’m a well-known sucker for exposed brick loft spaces…
Megan and Alex were married at St. Scholastica Parish in Woodridge, Illinois.
I started the morning with Megan and the ladies getting ready at the Chicago Marriott Naperville. With large windows and big rooms we had lots of room for both Alex and Megan for the morning preparations….
I met Lauren and Dan at the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool in Chicago’s Lincoln Park. They were very patient as we had to reschedule a few times while waiting for the lily pond to reopen during the coronavirus outbreak…

For personal privacy, client galleries are password protected. To login, the password is “YYYYMMDDlastname,” where the date is the day of the shoot (wedding day or engagement session) and last name can be either last name. Passwords are case-sensitive, and names are always lowercase.
For example, the password for a July 3, 2018 wedding between John Smith and Sarah Kline would be either 20180703smith or 20180703kline.
