Katie & Chris were married under the stage lights at Chicago’s Bottom Lounge.
I started with Katie and her ladies while they got ready at the River North Marriott while Justin was in Logan Square with Chris and his groomsmen.
Chris met us on the Marriott rooftop patio for a first look. From there we walked toward the river through the green space between Trump Tower and the Wrigley building. I’ve shot their before, but we always find something new. After some portraits with the bridal party we headed to Bottom Lounge on the Near West Side.
The ceremony was on the actual stage inside Bottom Lounge so it had a very moody, romantic feel under the lights. We had most of the downstairs bar to ourselves for a few more portraits during the cocktail hour.
Katie’s dad kicked off the reception with a pretty funny welcome toast. After dinner and a few more toasts Katie and Chris had their first dance. Then guests took to the dance floor themselves, or try out the pinball and arcade games or just enjoy the view of the skyline from outdoor patio. (Which of course we had to use to make on more portrait before the end of the night.
Justin and I had a great time working with you both, thanks again for letting us document your day!
