Adler Planetarium is one of Chicago’s most premier wedding venues, located at the end of Solidarity Dr. on museum campus overlooking Lake Michigan with a panoramic Chicago skyline view.

Adler Planetarium offers both indoor and outdoor ceremony options for up to 325 people and space for up to 600 guests when setup for an indoor seated reception. Ceremonies may be held at the Adler with an accompanying reception.

Your guests can take in the iconic Chicago skyline with a cocktail hour or wedding ceremony on the Nancy A. Petrovich Skyline Terrace. The floor-to-ceiling- windows in the The Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice Solarium wrap across the entire space and provide a perfect view of Chicago’s famous skyline looking across Lake Michigan.

Anna and Food For Thought (the exclusive caterer for the space) are sure to wow your guests with beautiful and tasty hors d’oeuvres and entrees. Don’t forget to look into the incredible lighting options the space offers. You can totally transform the space to whatever look you desire. There’s something special about a spending the night dancing under the stars and looking out over the city lights!

Rental costs for Adler Planetarium (event space only) range from $6,000 to $12,000, depending on dates, season and guest count.

Food for Thought, the venue's exclusive caterer, estimates $151-$259/person for reception packages which includes passed hors d’oeuvres, buffet or seated dinner, beverage service, staffing, equipment and linens. This pricing is based on a five-hour event and does not include tax or gratuity.

Guests may park in the nearby SP+ Parking lot at 1300 S. Linn White Dr. This is a paid lot and may be unavailable or full during Soldier Field events and Bears Games.

Vendors may use the loading dock located on the North East side of the building, but they cannot remain parked there during events.

The view from Adler Planetarium is the most iconic and complete view of the Chicago Skyline in the city. I've been there for countless weddings and engagement sessions.

Northerly Island Park is also a short walk from the venue and a great nature-friendly option for couples that don't want travel far.

Museum Campus, Grant Park, Buckingham Fountain, Maggie Daley Park, Millennium Park and The Art Institute are all good options in the immediate area.
