The Drake Hotel is one of Chicago's most iconic wedding venues. Overlooking Oak Street Beach where the Magnificent Mile begins, the space is perfect for couples planning large-scale productions with hundreds of guests or smaller ceremonies with close friends and family.
The Gold Coast Room features ornate columns, sparkling chandeliers and views of Lake Michigan. The largest of the spaces at The Drake, it can accommodate nearly 500 guests for ceremonies and seated dinners, while remaining comfortable for smaller groups as well.
The Grand Ballroom is outfitted for a live band with dance floor built to literally put a spring in your step. The ballroom can seat more than 350 for ceremonies and receptions. Couples can also choose the Camellia Room (the hotel's original dining room) or the French Room. The French Room is located next to the Gold Coast Ballroom, making it a great cocktail hour spot.

WHY WE LOVE IT
The corner suites are awesome for getting ready, with tons of room and great light. The Gold Coast location is ideal for getting to or from other parts of the city. I still love coming down Lake Shore Drive and seeing that iconic "The Drake" sign. That view never gets old!
Pro Tip: There's a small park directly across the street to the north. It's perfect for family group portraits or a first look. It's also super easy to step outside for an iconic Michigan Ave. portrait after the sun goes down.
