Andrea and Andrew were married at Madonna Della Strada Chapel on the campus of Loyola University on Chicago’s northside.
I started the morning with Andrea and her bridesmaids at Kimpton Gray Hotel downtown. The ladies were lots of fun to hang out with all day. One of my favorite moments was a few of the bridesmaids sitting in the tub in the bathroom once they were finished with makeup. Sarah spent the morning with guys downstairs in the Robie Room at the hotel.
Andrea and Andrew’s first look was on LaSalle Street, just around the corner from the hotel. I loved Andrew’s reactions – he did a little fist pump and then his face when Andrea spun around to show off the back of the dress!
From there, we joined up with the wedding party and headed up to LaSalle Street Bridge for photos before driving to Loyola’s Campus for the ceremony. I’ve shot on Loyola University campus several times but this was my first ceremony at the Madonna Della Strada Chapel. After the ceremony we took the wedding party around campus for a few more photos and I was very thankful the rain clouds held off until we left to head back downtown.
The reception was back at Kimpton Gray Hotel. After dinner and toasts, guests made their way out to the ‘Boleo’ the rooftop bar with a law library feel. The dance party was great thanks to the Bluewater Kings Band rocking the dance floor all night!
Andrea and Andrew – thank you so much for letting us be there to document your wedding and be part of your celebration. It was truly an honor!
Also special thanks to Charlene and SweetChic Events, as always, for all your help during the wedding day!
