When Brianne and Matt met with me to talk about photographing their Loft on Lake wedding I knew immediately it was going to be a great day. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a couple that had more fun on their wedding day than these two. Their expressive faces and constant joy made shooting moments so easy. I think we might have set a record for the number of photos we took!
Both Brianne and Matt started the day getting ready at La Quinta Inn & Suites which is one of my favorite hotels in the Loop for it’s large windows and generous sized suites. While I was hanging out with Brianne and the ladies for hair and makeup, Jason Brown was with Matt and the guys.
From the hotel, we traveled north to Wrigley Field for a first look under the outfield bleachers. After first look, we headed around to the front of the stadium for some pictures in front of the famous Wrigley Field marquee sign. To get back downtown we rode the Red Line on the El which was a pretty fun experience with the whole wedding party. We stopped at the La Salle Street bridge for a few photos before switching to the Green Line to get to Loft on Lake.
Loft on Lake has been one of my favorite Chicago wedding venues and Brianne and Matt’s ceremony was no exception. The whole ceremony was filled with laughter and some really great moments. The highlight was definitely the “Ring Bear” who delivered the rings in the middle of the ceremony on his bike. Everyone loved it!
After the ceremony we headed back down the street to the Ashland Green Line stop for a few more photos in the golden hour light.
I loved Brianne interrupting her maid of honor’s toast to make a few “corrections.” After the first dances DJ Jennefa kept people rocking on the dance floor all night.
Thanks to Brianne and Matt for enjoying the hell out of your day and trusting Jason and I to document it. We had a great time at your Loft on Lake wedding.
