Jessica and Daniel’s wedding at Tabu Restaurant in the West Loop was a great way to start winding down our 2023 wedding season.
I started with Jessica along with her sisters and mother at LondonHouse Hotel downtown while Justin started with Dan and the guys at an AirBNB in Fulton Market. It’s always nice having a small group for prep in the morning.
We met up at Union Station for first look and then went inside for the classic shot on the stairs along with the outdoor portico. From there, we headed to the Board of Trade area on LaSalle Street for family group photos and some more portraits with the couple. Finally we stopped at Gibson’s Italia and the nearby riverwalk. It was extra windy but Jess and Dan powered through to make a few nice bonus photos there.
After the portraits, Jess and Dan had some time with just the two of them in a reserved booth at the recently opened Guiness Open Gate Brewery. I loved the private vow reading. This was something that I haven’t really seen before and it was very cool they invited me to be part of it.
The reception was just down the street at Tabu Restaurant. The night kicked off with a blessing from Dan’s grandmother. After dinner, we heard toasts from the parents and siblings. Then it was time for the dance floor to open!
Finally, we made one last portrait in the downstairs basement at the restaurant as a nightcap.
We loved working with Jess and Dan (and your entire families). Thanks for sharing your day with us and giving us so many great moments!
